August Update

Last chance for organized tennis fun with the family! Join us Wednesday, August 23 at 6 pm for our last family fun night of the summer.  Family fun nights are held at Alexandria Area High School and include activities for all ages.

Looking for more tennis play opportunities?  Check out the Morris Prairie Open happening September 9 and 10 in Morris, MN. Play is grouped for ages 18+ and for ages 12-17.  Sign up for singles, doubles, or mixed doubles.  You can also register for more than one category.

The last two weeks of the Doubles Tennis League were rained out.  All teams are still encouraged to make up their games.  Updated standings and missing matches are available on the Player’s Page.  We had a good first year, but are looking to improve.  If you have any suggestions or concerns we should look to address, please let us know!

20170719_193336.jpgThis summer, four area youth participated in World Team Tennis.  The team was made up of two female and two male players.  At each event, players compete in doubles, singles, and mixed doubles.  Play follows usual rules, with a few ‘power ups’ to keep it interesting.  Let us know if you are interested in joining next year’s team – open to players ages 14-18!

Over 100 area youth participated in our lessons and jamborees.  Thank you for joining us!  If you have suggestions or concerns we should address for next summer, please let us know.  If you missed out on the fun, check back frequently for updates on winter programming and summer options after the first of the year.  Make plans to join us next summer!

June Update

LAR youth lessons were well attended, with over 30 area youth participating.  Looking forward to another great turn out in Session 2 starting Monday, July 10.

The afternoon jamboree for middle school and junior varsity was attended by 15 players.  Another jamboree is scheduled for the end of July. The July jamboree will run all day, lunch provided.

Remember when playing singles challenge matches to report scores via the score reporting link on the Player’s Page, or on the Contact Us page.
